CHIKAR GOMPA
As a surprise, Karma had arranged special permission for us to visit and stay overnight at a tiny,
remote temple in the Haa Valley in west Bhutan, another Guru Rinpoche meditation site, which
had never been visited by foreigners before. We were treated to a hot stone bath and warm
eggnog by firelight in the jungle outside in the evening, and after a peaceful night, in the morning
we were shown precious relics of Guru Rinpoche, and a small ceremony of blessing was held.
